Renting a motorbike with Soulful Bikes to travel along the legendary Estrada Nacional 2 to Chaves was, without a doubt, one of the best decisions I've ever made. The adventure began as soon as we landed in Faro, where the Soulful team had everything prepared. All we had to do was get on the bike and hear the roar of the engine to know that we were about to live an unforgettable experience. With around 200 km planned per day, we drew up a plan that balanced freedom, comfort and breathtaking landscapes.

The trip along the N2 revealed the heart of Portugal. From historic villages to vast golden fields, each kilometer was an invitation to discover traditions, flavors and people that made the journey even more special. The impeccably prepared motorcycle ensured smooth and worry-free riding. With our bags packed and the route planned by Soulful, all we had to do was hit the road and enjoy every moment. First there were the delightful curves of the Serra do Caldeirão between the slopes of cork oaks. Then came the golden plains of Alentejo until reaching the mountains of Central Portugal again. We passed dams and immense valleys.

When we arrived in Chaves, the final point of the N2, we felt a mixture of achievement and enthusiasm for what was yet to come. The return to Faro, this time along the Portuguese coast, brought new landscapes and experiences. We crossed Gerês, always green. We pass through the magical Serra da Arrábida, where the blue of the sea contrasts with the green of the mountains. We continued on to Comporta, with its dunes and rice fields that looked like they had come out of a postcard.

The Costa Vicentina was, without a doubt, one of the highlights. Winding roads along the Atlantic provided stunning views and perfect stops to relax and soak up the ocean's energy. The sound of the waves and the smell of the sea accompanied us until we entered the interior again, crossing the Serra do Caldeirão, where the tranquility of the countryside made us feel completely disconnected from the world.

Soulful Bikes' support was essential for everything to go perfectly. From planning the itinerary to recommending places to eat and stay, we felt we were in good hands. The bike was ready and equipped for the trip, which allowed us to just focus on enjoying the adventure. In the end, all I had to do was return the bike, catch the plane and return home with a renewed soul and a heart full of stories to tell.

If there's one thing this trip taught us, it's that Portugal is an incredible destination to explore on two wheels. The freedom to follow the rhythm of the road, stop wherever we wanted and immerse ourselves in the local culture made this experience truly transformative.
